Finnair will debut a premium economy cabin this spring for its long-haul aircraft.
The carrier will also roll out a new business class cabin and a refreshed economy cabin.
The $229 million cabin renewal program will be implemented gradually over the next two years. The carrier said it will announce on March 1 which routes will first see the new interiors.

"There will be a really beautified look and feel on long-haul aircraft throughout our fleet," said Mikko Turtiainen, Finnair's vice president of global sales.
Premium economy seats will offer 38 inches of space between rows, or pitch, as well as eight inches of seat recline. They'll also come with footrests. In addition, premium economy passengers will receive an enhanced service offering compared to Finnair economy passengers.
In business class, Turtiainen said, Finnair will be the first airline to deploy a new Collins Aerospace-designed seat. The seat, the carrier says, has a wide design that enables a variety of sitting and sleeping positions.
For its widebody economy cabins, Finnair is installing new seats that feature larger in-flight entertainment screens than currently available.
The cabin overhaul comes as Finnair is in the process of increasing its offering of U.S. routes, including new Helsinki-Dallas service in March and Helsinki-Seattle service launching in June. In December, Finnair began flying to the U.S. from Stockholm with service to Los Angeles, New York JFK and seasonal winter flights to Miami.
