Frontier Airlines will launch service from Seattle-area airport Paine Field in June.

The discount carrier will fly three routes from Paine. Thrice-weekly flights to Denver, Las Vegas and Phoenix will begin on June 2. Frontier already flies to each of those destinations from Seattle-Tacoma Airport, 37 miles to the south of Paine Field.

Alaska Airlines is currently the only carrier flying from Paine Field, serving eight destinations. Frontier will compete with Alaska on Paine Field flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Paine Field is approximately 25 miles north of downtown Seattle.
