Hawaiian Airlines has followed U.S. competitors by raising fees for checked bags.

Effective Nov. 13, the first checked bag on flights between Hawaii and the North American mainland has increased from $25 to $30 while the cost of the second checked bag has gone from $35 to $40.

Checked-bag fees will remain $25 and $35 for Hawaiian's interisland flights.

Since late August, JetBlue, United, American, Delta and Alaska have raised bag fees.
