New Canadian carrier Jetlines announces first U.S. routes

New Canadian discount carrier Jetlines will launch its first two U.S. routes on Jan. 19.

Jetlines will fly four times per week between Toronto Pearson and Las Vegas and twice per week between Toronto and Melbourne, Fla. 

The airline is promoting Melbourne as an alternative to Orlando, which is 61 miles away. 

Jetlines began service in September with flights from Toronto to Calgary. 

It will operate the Las Vegas and Melbourne routes with Airbus A320 aircraft in a single cabin, 174-seat configuration.
