KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched a packing assistant on Google Home, a smart speaker featuring Google's digital personal assistant.
The service bot is called BB (short for Blue Bot) and gives KLM passengers advice on what to pack based on their destination, trip duration and local weather. KLM said BB is built on artificial intelligence resources and will become more personalized the more a user interacts with the bot.
In addition to being available on Google Home, it is also available on any devices supporting Google Assistant.
BB started in September, offering passengers the ability to book a ticket via Facebook Messenger. The bot is expected to offer other services through other channels in the future.
"KLM's new service on Google Home with BB is the next step in its innovative digital strategy and the first step on voice, offering personalized service through Google Home with the help of artificial intelligence," Pieter Groeneveld, senior vice president of digital for Air France-KLM, said in a statement.
