Lufthansa Group has opened a $10 million lounge at Newark Airport.

The 6,370-square-foot facility in the airport's Terminal B is open to first-class and business-class passengers flying Lufthansa, Austrian and Swiss. Individuals with Hon Circle or Senator status can also use the lounge.

The lounge seats up to 165 guests, a 25% increase over Lufthansa's previous Newark lounge, which had occupied the same general location.

Lufthansa said approximately one-third of the space is dedicated to business needs, including community tables equipped with wireless charging. The remainder of the lounge is geared toward comfort, with seating options for solo travelers and families.

The lounge has two private rooms that can be used for meetings or as a space for groups with children.

Buffet-style dining features a rotating menu focusing on locally sourced ingredients. First-class customers and Hon Circle flyers have access to a private dining section where they can order off a menu.
