BeOnd, an all-business-class airline that serves six cities in Europe and the Middle East from its base in the Maldives, has plans to launch a U.S. network.
The BeOnd America brand will begin with eight aircraft and operate in partnership with New Pacific Airlines, an Alaska-based charter carrier that possesses a U.S. commercial air operating certificate. BeOnd America hasn't revealed a launch date and where it will fly.
Under the arrangement, New Pacific will operate flights marketed under the BeOnd brand. New Pacific flies a fleet of three Boeing 757-200s. Formerly called Northern Pacific Airways, the company initially had planned to operate as a commercial carrier connecting passengers from continental U.S. airports through Anchorage and onto Asia.
Rebranded as New Pacific, it switched to a charter-only model last year.
BeOnd, which began operations in 2023, flies just two aircraft, an Airbus A321 narrowbody and an Airbus A319. The planes have a single cabin with all lie-flat seats.
The carriers did not say which aircraft type they'll use for U.S service.
All-business-class airlines are rare. One enduring one is La Compagnie, which connects Paris, Nice and Milan with Newark.
