Maxjet taking bookings for D.C. service

DULLES, Va. -- Maxjet, the new business-class airline, set a March 15 launch date for service from its home base at Washington (Dulles) to London (Stansted) and began taking bookings.

The airline is offering an introductory roundtrip fare of $999, including all government taxes and fees; the normal roundtrip fares will start at $1,750, including taxes and fees.

Maxjet, which launched its first service Nov. 1 from New York (Kennedy) to Stansted, had previously said the Washington service would start in February.

The Washington service will be offered four times a week on its 767 aircraft configured for 102 seats.
