MINNEAPOLIS -- Northwest assured travelers the airline's service
won't be affected by the breakup between KLM and Alitalia, both of
which are Northwest partners for code sharing, frequent flyer
programs and airport lounges.
"Our relationships continue with both carriers," a Northwest
spokesman said.
KLM abruptly severed its alliance with Alitalia April 28, citing
uncertainty about the future of Alitalia's Milan hub and the
Italian airline's proposed privatization.
