Qatar Airways is the latest carrier to announce plans to offer the world’s longest regularly scheduled flight.

Speaking at the international travel fair ITB Berlin this week, Qatar CEO Akbar Al Baker said that the airline would launch direct service to Auckland, New Zealand, from its United Arab Emirates hub in Doha on Dec. 3 of this year. The flight will traverse 9,034 miles, according to the website Travelmath.

Emirates launched what is currently the world’s longest flight last week. Its Dubai-Auckland route traverses 8,824 miles.
