Samoa Air is charging passengers based on their weight plus the weight of their baggage.
When customers book at Samoa Air’s website, they prepay based on an estimate of their total weight (person plus baggage). “Don’t worry, we will weigh you again at the airport,” says the airline at its website.
Samoa Air, launched in 2012, flies to destinations in the Samoan archipelago, operating scheduled and charter service.
The airline operates Britten-Norman Islander (BN-2A) and Cessna 172 aircraft.
