Southwest Airlines has canceled or delayed a large number of flights for the third straight day as its operation continues to suffer from technical problems that occurred earlier in the week.

As of 3:20 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, Southwest had cancelled 370 flights for the day, or 10% of its schedule, according to Flight Aware. Southwest had also delayed 19% of its flights.

A day earlier, the carrier cancelled 566 flights, or 16% of its schedule. And on Monday, Southwest delayed 1,500 flights.

The carrier last tweeted about the operational issues on Tuesday, describing the problems as a "system issue" that created flight disruptions throughout its network.

In a Wednesday email, Southwest spokesman Dan Landson said that the technology issues from Tuesday have been resolved.

"We are still experiencing a small number of cancellations and delays across our network as we continue working to resume normal operations," he said.

The technical problems started Monday, when Southwest's weather data provider went down, causing the carrier to issue a ground stop, according to reports.
