Southwest adds ability to track baggage

Southwest Airlines customers now can track their checked luggage on the airline's website or mobile app, including when it is loaded and unloaded on the plane, the carrier announced Wednesday. 

Southwest also recently added the ability for customers to add checked bags digitally at the time of check-in up to 24 hours prior to arriving at the airport, in order to reduce the number of steps necessary to check bags at kiosks.
