Southwest Airlines has completed its GDS integration with
Travelport.
Travel management companies can now book, modify, cancel and
settle Southwest tickets through Travelport’s Galileo system. The rollout
follows Southwest’s integration with Travelport’s Worldspan and Apollo systems
in May.
The GDS functionality isn’t available to leisure agencies.
Southwest plans to continue its GDS rollout with Amadeus
integration later this year. The carrier does not have plans for full
participation with Sabre.
