On March 9, Southwest Airlines will add daily flights to three cities from Newark.

The airline will launch service to Nashville, New Orleans and Austin, Texas. The Nashville service will be twice daily.

Southwest launched Newark operations in March 2011. The airline currently flies to Denver, Phoenix, Chicago Midway, Baltimore and St. Louis from Newark.

In addition, Southwest will begin daily Dayton, Ohio-Orlando and Key West-New Orleans service on March 9.

Also on that date, Southwest will take over service to Branson, Mo., that is currently operated by its AirTran subsidiary.

Southwest will fly daily to Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby and Chicago Midway, plus every Saturday to Orlando. AirTran currently serves those cities from Branson, plus Atlanta and Baltimore.
