Sun Country Airlines has announced plans to begin flying to Milwaukee in August and to launch at eight other airports for seasonal service next winter.
Along with Milwaukee, the new stations include Duluth and Rochester in Minnesota; Green Bay, Wis.; Phoenix-Mesa; Punta Gorda, Fla.; St. Pete-Clearwater, Fla.; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
From Milwaukee, Sun Country will fly to Minneapolis and Las Vegas twice-weekly starting Aug. 26, before adding Cancun, Phoenix Sky Harbor and Fort Myers, Fla., in December.

In Punta Gorda, St. Pete and Phoenix-Mesa airports, Sun Country service is set to begin in November with flights from the airline's Minneapolis base.
Sun Country's Duluth, Green Bay and Rochester service will launch in December with flights to Fort Myers and Phoenix Sky Harbor.
Sun County will enter Grand Cayman and Providenciales in December with service from Minneapolis.
Those routes are among 18 that Sun Country announced Tuesday, all of them less than daily and seasonal. On 10 of the routes, Sun Country is slated to be the lone carrier, it said.
