Plaza Premium, the world's largest independent airport lounge developer, has opened its first U.S. Plaza Premium First location at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.
Plaza Premium First lounges offer more service, personal space and amenities at a higher price than the standard Plaza Premium Lounge brand.
The Dallas Plaza Premium First lounge is in Terminal D, alongside a new Plaza Premium Lounge. Plaza Premium also continues to operate its lounge in DFW's Terminal E.
Plaza Premium First customers will be escorted to their table by a lounge ambassador upon entry for sit-down dining. The lounge also has buffet. Other amenities include showers and dedicated relaxation areas.
The Terminal D lounges are open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
Airport lounges have become increasingly popular with flyers, and credit-card companies, standalone operators and airlines alike have been increasingly competing on ultrapremium spaces; J.D. Power began ranking top lounge brands just last year. At DFW, for example, hub carrier American opened a Flagship Lounge in 2019.
DFW is the eighth airport to have a Plaza Premium First lounge and the second in North America, following Vancouver. A lounge is also planned for New York Kennedy.
Flyers can pay to enter the Dallas Plaza Premium First starting at $115 for a two-hour stay and the Dallas Plaza Premium Lounge starting at $70. Those with Priority Pass or an eligible American Express card have complimentary access to Plaza Premium Lounge. Those travelers can also receive a discounted rate of $45 to access Plaza Premium First.
Business and first-class flyers on Plaza Premium partner airlines Air France, Eva Air, Finnair, Emirates and Turkish can enter the Premium First lounge for free.
