ATLANTA -- Worldspan adapted its system to enable agents to book VIA Rail Canada's transcontinental train service.

Using standard airline formats, agents now can view availability, book passage and issue tickets through the CRS.

The system allows agents to add the rail segment to an itinerary with air, hotel and rental car purchases. Other VIA Rail segments already are available through the CRS.

VIA Rail's Western Transcontinental "rail cruise," the Canadian, travels the 3,000-miles between Toronto, Ontario, and Vancouver, British Columbia in three days.
