Brand USA, the destination marketing organization for the United States, named Leah Chandler chief marketing officer.
The organization's previous CMO, Staci Mellman, left the organization last August.

Chandler begins March 17 and will lead Brand USA's global marketing strategy, spearheading efforts to grow international travel to the U.S.
Her appointment rounds out a new leadership team under Fred Dixon, who became CEO of the organization last summer. The longtime New York City Tourism & Conventions executive added four C-suite positions focused on partnerships, marketing and AI.
"Bringing Leah on board completes our leadership team and prepares us well to advance our strategic approach to consumer marketing, content creation, partner programs and analytics," Dixon said about Chandler. "With the decade of major events ahead, Brand USA is better positioned than ever to capitalize on these opportunities to grow inbound visitation, visitor spending and economic impact."
Chandler was most recently with Discover Puerto Rico, where she was CMO. Discover Puerto Rico also has lost its CEO, Brad Dean, who is departing the organization to take the helm at Explore St. Louis.
