The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Monday that it foiled a plot to bomb a New York-Toronto Via Rail passenger train.
The RCMP said it arrested Chiheb Esseghaier of Montreal and Raed Jaser of Toronto for conspiracy to carry out the attack.
The police indicated that the plot was “al-Qaida-supported.”
