Almond Resorts will open its 300-room
Almond Casuarina Beach Resort on March 15. The former Casuarina
Beach Resort, acquired by Almond in June 2005, has been closed
since its acquisition.
The all-inclusive
resort on Barbados' south coast is undergoing a $30 million
expansion and renovation project that includes a 100-room addition
that will open in early summer.
Facilities
features three pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, access to
golf, a Kids Club (available to newborns up to 16 years old), six
room categories, three restaurants and four bars.
Almond currently
operates two properties on the West Coast of Barbados, the 395-room
Almond Beach Village and the 161-room Almond Beach Club & Spa,
as well as the 238-room Almond Morgan Bay Beach Resort on St.
Lucia's western shores and the 360-room Almond Smugglers Cove, set
to open in February, on St. Lucia's northwest coast.
