Hilton's Tapestry Collection will add two Mexico hotels, both in Baja California, to its portfolio early next year.

Fresh off a multimillion-dollar renovation, the former Hotel Perla in La Paz will be reflagged as the Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The 90-room art deco property, which dates back to 1940, will relaunch with fully remodeled guestrooms, a full-service restaurant, a pair of lounges, a gym and spa, and a pool and bar area.

In San Jose del Cabo, the former Tropicana Inn will be converted into the Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The city-center hotel houses 70 rooms as well as a restaurant and bar.

The hotels will be the first Tapestry Collection properties in Baja California.
