For the first time in six years, both of Disney World's waterparks -- Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach -- will be open this summer.
Since 2019, both waterparks have been on a rotating maintenance schedule, with one open while the other is closed. But this year, Blizzard Beach will undergo a brief closure next month, then reopen from May 21 to Sept. 7.
Disney last year announced a new benefit for guests in 2025: Disney hotel guests can visit one of the waterparks for free on their check-in day. This summer, they'll have their pick between the two.
Blizzard Beach's 30th anniversary celebration with special dance parties, characters, games and temporary tattoos will continue this month until its temporary closure begins May 1.
Typhoon Lagoon will open to guests for the season on May 1. The park will continue to hold its Disney H20 Glow After Hours specially ticketed events this summer, with tickets going on sale April 4 ($85 for adults and $42.50 for children).
