CORRECTED: Radisson Edwardian hotels adding Blu name

|

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will rebrand all 14 Radisson Edwardian hotels in the U.K. as Radisson Blu Edwardian properties by mid-year, bringing the total number of Radisson Blu hotels in the U.K. to 40.

The 13 properties total more than 2,500 rooms. Radisson Edwardian Hotels was founded in 1977.

The rebranding marks Carlson Rezidor’s continued efforts to expand the Radisson Blu brand globally. In November, Carlson Rezidor introduced that brand to the U.S. by opening the 334-room Radisson Blu Aqua in Chicago.

Last month, Carlson and Rezidor formed Carlson Rezidor as a single operations and management entity that manages more than 1,300 hotels under the Radisson, Radisson Blu, Park Inn, Park Plaza and Hotel Missoni brands.
