HAW-MolokaiShoresAs of May 18, Castle Resorts & Hotels has taken over management at the Molokai Shores property on Molokai and the Pali Ke Kua, Puu Poa and Hale Moi Cottages in Princeville on Kauai. The four properties were formerly run by Marc Resorts Hawaii.

"The unexpected closure of Marc Resorts was very unfortunate, and our initial concern was for the employees and guests," said Alan Mattson, COO and president of Castle Resorts & Hotels.

"We were able to retain all property employees, service existing hotel guests and accommodate arriving guests. Our corporate culture is one of flexibility, and with very little advance notice, we were able to transition important resort operations with no disruption of service."

Marc Resorts Hawaii, a hotel management company with about 40 employees, shut down operations May 7.

Founded in 1994 and based in Honolulu, Castle Resorts & Hotels now manages 30 hotels, condominium resorts and villas in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, New Zealand and Thailand.
