WICHITA, Kan -- Developer Jack DeBoer, the creator of Residence
Inn, Summerfield Suites and Candlewood Suites is at it again.
Having launched three successful hotel chains, while in the
process of establishing the extended-stay market, DeBoer has taken
the wraps off Value Place, a hotel designed as "short-term
residential lodging."
"There are plenty of mid-priced and upscale hotels out there
whose guests' rooms are paid for by employers; but for small
business owners and anyone else who is footing the bill for
temporary lodging, this product is a God-send," said DeBoer.
The first Value Place property is open in Wichita, Kan., with
rates starting at $149 per week; another 16 are in development,
DeBoer said. "We have started in the heartland and are already
securing sites from Texas up to Michigan and east to Florida," he
added.
