The Delta Hotels by Marriott, Riviera Nayarit has opened. It is Delta's first hotel in Mexico.

The all-inclusive resort is located in Las Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a half-hour drive from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

The opening is part of a Marriott plan announced two years ago to grow its all-inclusive footprint in Mexico and other destinations under several brands, including Ritz-Carlton, Luxury Collection, Marriott, Westin, W, Autograph Collection and Delta.

Four of the new resorts will be part of NIA, a 220-acre development in Riviera Nayarit: a 240-room Ritz-Carlton, a 400-room Westin, a 300-room Autograph Collection resort and a 500-room Marriott are all scheduled to open between 2022 and 2025.

The Delta Hotels by Marriott, Riviera Nayarit is a conversion of the former Grand Matlali Hills Resort and Spa. The property features 117 guestrooms with private balconies that have mountain views, two restaurants and four pop-up venues. Facilities also include two swimming pools, a 24-hour fitness center, a spa with 10 treatment rooms, and a beach club with shuttle service.

Marriott Bonvoy members with Elite status or greater have access to the brand's signature Delta Pantry, which offers on-the-go breakfast, convenient and healthy snacks and beverages, and tailored food-and-beverage experiences, such as ice cream socials.

Marriott has grown Delta internationally since acquiring the Canadian brand in 2015. Delta by Marriott now has 80-plus hotels, up from 37 in 2015.
