Margaritaville Hotels & Resorts will open its inaugural Compass by Margaritaville location on the Anna Maria Sound waterfront in Bradenton, Fla., on July 15.
Margaritaville unveiled plans for the Compass spinoff -- billed as a more intimate, smaller-footprint Margaritaville hotel concept -- in 2018.
Located approximately 10 miles from the Sarasota Bradenton Airport on Florida's Gulf coast, the Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound comprises 123 guestrooms, all featuring water views.
The property's amenities include a lounge stocked with books, board games, playing cards and other table games; a Welcome Cabana offering snacks throughout the day; and an outpost of Margaritaville's signature Provisions grab-and-go retail store as well as meetings rooms and a fitness studio. A complimentary daily breakfast is also on offer.

Dining options include the Floridays Woodfire Grill & Bar, which will serve up seafood, salads and steaks alongside a selection of signature cocktails and craft beer, and the Compass Bar and Chill, located near the hotel's outdoor pool.
According to Brad Schwaeble, Margaritaville's COO, the company plans to ramp up expansion of the Compass flag, which he described as an attractive option for "newbuilds, adaptive reuse and conversion projects in smaller leisure markets, vibrant downtown hubs and college towns."
Schwaeble said the company is on track to open the Compass Hotel Beaufort in North Carolina and Compass Hotel Louisville in Kentucky next year.
