The Kimpton Budapest, the first hotel from the brand in Hungary, is slated to open in 2025, parent company IHG Hotels and Resorts announced in a statement.

The hotel will be in Jozsef Bem Square in central Budapest, on the western bank of the Danube. Plans for the property call for 127 rooms and include a rooftop bar.

The Kimpton Budapest will be operated under a management agreement with property owner Mam Buda Project, a subsidiary of Market Asset Management, a Hungarian company that also worked on the development of several Budapest properties, including the Parisi Udvar Hotel, Clark Hotel and Dorottya Hotel and Residence.

The first European property from San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, the Kimpton De Witt in Amsterdam, opened in 2017. There are currently seven Kimpton hotels across the continent out of 75 worldwide.
