As anticipated, Four Seasons departed the Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, Calif., on Monday, and the property is now a Park Hyatt.

The hotel owner, Broadreach Capital Partners, had been in arbitration with Four Seasons after going to court to try to evict Four Seasons last May, accusing the luxury hotel operator of breaching its fiduciary responsibility and mismanaging the 329-room resort.

The matter went to arbitration, where a panel ruled the two parties should terminate their relationship. Broadreach was ordered to pay Four Seasons compensation.
