SBE and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts are expanding their HQ Hotels & Residences lifestyle concept to the Caribbean with the debut of the HQ Cas en Bas Resort & Residences on St. Lucia this November.
The $130 million property will be located within St. Lucia's Cap Estate community on the island's northern end, offering proximity to Cas en Bas Bay's beachfront and the St. Lucia Golf & Country Club. The property will have 178 guestrooms.
Dining options will include signature SBE concepts Katsuya Beach and Umami Burger and a new casual Italian restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi. The resort will also be home to several bars, including Rum Shack, Cameron Jacks Lounge and Bar, and a champagne terrace and rooftop bar, as well as nightlife venues Night Sands and Eclectic Beach.
Preliminary planning has also begun for an additional development phase that will introduce a spa, wellness center and gym.
The property will be part of Wyndham's Registry Collection.
HQ Cas en Bas will mark the brand's second Caribbean property, following the addition of the Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, an HQ Luxury Resort & Residences on Antigua earlier this year. There's also a Sao Paulo hotel in development, with NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and wife Ciara as partners.
HQ Hotels & Residences launched in early 2024 as part of a strategic alliance between SBE founder Sam Nazarian and Wyndham, with entertainer Marc Anthony coming on board as an equity partner. The brand is positioned as an "approachable lifestyle product" targeting millennial and Gen Z travelers.
