As expected, Harrah’s Entertainment has changed its name to Caesars Entertainment Corp.

Harrah's announced the name change earlier this month, when the company filed for an initial public offering. Harrah's changed its mind on the IPO but went ahead with the name change.

Caesars Entertainment CEO Gary Loveman said the change was made "in recognition of Caesars' status as the world’s preeminent and most respected casino brand."

Caesar’s said the Harrah’s name will continue to be one of its primary brands, along with Caesars, Horseshoe, Total Rewards and World Series of Poker.
