Hilton Worldwide will no longer operate the Hilton Kingston Jamaica, as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will assume management on July 1.

The hotel will become a Wyndham, marking a return of the brand to Jamaica.

The 303-room hotel in Kingston's business district has been a Hilton for the past 12 years. The property opened as a Sheraton 30 years ago and was among the first of the major commercial hotels to be built in Kingston.

Hilton currently manages the Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, which had been a Wyndham resort until it was acquired by the Blackstone Group’s LXR Luxury Resorts division in 2005.
