InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) reached an agreement for its second New York hotel for the new Even brand. It is expected to open in mid-2015.

The 150-room hotel will be on West 35th Street and will be a newbuild. The property will be developed by Frank Chan and Lance Steinberg, who are also building New York’s first Even hotel on East 44th Street.

IHG unveiled the Even brand early last year, saying that it would take on upscale select-service brands such as Courtyard by Marriott and Hyatt Place by targeting customers looking for wellness-related products and a healthy travel experiences.

IHG announced the first New York City property last October, saying that the 230-room hotel will open by the end of 2014.
