Marriott International in 2014 plans to open its first Ethiopia property, a Marriott Executive Apartments.
The company plans to follow up with a 209-room Courtyard by Marriott in 2015.
Both properties will be built in Addis Ababa.
Marriott is embarking on an expansion in Africa, planning to open hotels in Benin, Gabon, Ghana, Nigeria and Rwanda during the next five years.
