Marriott International said this week that it launched its European Convention Network (ECN) to spur meetings business by simplifying the booking process for meetings planners.
Marriott is including 14 European hotels totaling 7,800 rooms and more than 600,000 square feet of meetings space in the network. All of the hotels have at least 350 rooms and 30,000 square feet of meetings space.
As part of the program, Marriott is earmarking single dedicated contact person for meetings planners organizing recurring events in order to streamline the booking process and avoid having planners call multiple properties in order to gauge availability.
The hotels include Marriott-branded hotels in Berlin, Budapest, Frankfurt, Lisbon; Warsaw, Poland; the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel; the Rome Marriott Park Hotel; the Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel; Azerbaijan's Boulevard Hotel Baku (which is under Marriott's Autograph Collection); the AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen; the AC Hotel Barcelona Forum; the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre; the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel; and London's Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel.
