Notable hotel schedules: Disney, Sandals and more

Travel Weekly is keeping track of notable hotel and resort opening dates. Read our previous week's list.

Walt Disney World has pushed back reopening dates for its Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Oct. 4 and Nov. 1, respectively. Both properties were previously scheduled to resume operations in mid-August.

Other Disney World resorts set to reopen in the latter half of the year include Disney's Yacht Club Resort on Aug. 24, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on Sept. 21 and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort on Oct. 15.

Sandals Resorts has revised the reopening dates for several properties originally slated to reopen in July. St. Lucia's Sandals Regency La Toc is now on track to open Aug. 31, while the Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas is now scheduled to reopen Nov. 1. Sandals LaSource Grenada is now slated to reopen Oct. 1.

Sandals also has announced reopening dates for its Barbados resorts, with the Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados both set to be up and running Sept. 9.

Beaches Turks and Caicos has pushed back its reopening date to Oct. 14, according to a company spokesman.

Miraval's Tucson, Arizona wellness resort has reopened. The property's Cactus Flower Restaurant and Coyote Moon Bar & Lounge are both up and running with reduced seating capacity and outdoor dining space available, while its Palm Court Cafe is also open for grab-and-go service.

The Body Mindfulness Center, which houses Miraval Arizona's fitness center, has temporarily suspended operations. Additionally, select yoga and fitness classes have been moved outdoors. Miraval Arizona guests are currently being asked to sign up in advance for all activities prior to arrival.

The Dominican Republic's Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana all-inclusives in Punta Cana reopened on July 22. In accordance with the properties' new safety protocols, select dining venues at both resorts are open on a rotating basis.

The James New York -- NoMad in New York City reopened its doors on Aug. 1. In place of indoor dining, the hotel's Italian eatery Scarpetta has opened the Scarpetta's Outdoor Garden Cafe, an al fresco dining concept launched in partnership with rose wine brand Whispering Angel.

Boston's Fairmont Copley Plaza is reopening on Aug. 7.

After initially targeting a July 8 reopening, Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive resort is scheduled to resume operations Sept. 12. Sister property Divi Aruba All Inclusive began welcoming guests back on July 10. To commemorate their reopenings, both resorts have launched a Welcome Back promotion, offering guests 35% off all-inclusive rates as well as a $200 amenities credit for use across four different off-site experiences.

The Grenadines' Palm Island Resort & Spa has announced plans to reopen on Oct. 14. The property's dining venues, which are all open-air, will be operating and will feature spaced-apart seating. Additionally, buffets will be modified in order to control foot traffic, and a la carte dining options will be expanded.

The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in California began welcoming back guests on Aug. 6. Indoor dining at the property is temporarily suspended, but two outdoor dining concepts, the Roadrunner Cafe and Citrus Marketplace and Caf, are open. The resort's seven pools are also open, with its newly added HyTides Plunge Waterpark and Desert Twist Lazy River amenities expected to debut later in the year.

The Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa in Galena, Ill., reopened on Aug. 4. The 6,800-acre resort is currently promoting its selection of 200 one- to eight-bedroom villas and homes, as well as open-air dining options at its Highlands Restaurant and Lounge 289 venues.
