The Occidental Grand Aruba will reopen on Palm Beach in Aruba May 1, following a $42 million renovation and upgrade program of the former Allegro-branded resort.

The 391 guest rooms, reduced from 402, feature a mini bar, satellite TV, personal safe and an outdoor patio or terrace.

The Royal Club, a 50-room boutique-style hotel within the resort, offers VIP services such as an exclusive check-in area and a private a la carte restaurant and lounge.

The Occidental features a total of seven restaurants, a spa and a range of watersports and other activities.
