One&Only will open its latest ultra-luxury resort, the One&Only Nyungwe House in Rwanda, on Oct. 1.

The property will be a part of One&Only's Nature Resorts portfolio and promises guests "once-in-a-lifetime experiences in one of the world's most exceptional natural locations."

Located on the edge of Rwanda's lush Nyungwe rainforest, One&Only Nyungwe House is tucked within the fields of a working tea plantation and features 23 guest rooms and suites. Each guestroom is outfitted with a log burner as well as private deck, designed to showcase expansive jungle and wildlife views.

One&Only Nyungwe House will offer African-inspired dining options, with a focus on farm-to-table, organic and seasonal cuisine. Guests can choose to dine in a traditional African boma, an outdoor gathering place, or the resort's dining room, which overlooks the tea plantation. The resort's tea lounge offers panoramic rainforest views.

Other amenities include the resort's One&Only spa, which will specialize in a range of traditional African therapies. Among the spa's signature offerings is the Intoga Amasatchi, a 75-minute full-body treatment that utilizes hands and wooden sticks to stretch tight muscles and relieve stress.

One&Only Nyungwe House will also offer curated, nature-focused activities, including chimpanzee and monkey trekking. Guests may also opt to hike trails of varying difficulty levels, embark on a stargazing walk or try their hand at spear throwing or archery, among other pursuits.

Additionally, One&Only invites guests to participate in a national Rwandan tradition known as Umuganda, in which locals dedicate the last Saturday morning of every month to volunteering within their communities.

Along with Nyungwe House, One&Only's Nature Resorts portfolio includes the Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley in Australia. Next year, One&Only plans to open a third Nature Resorts property -- One&Only Gorilla's Nest -- in Northern Rwanda, which will offer gorilla trekking. One&Only Nyungwe House brings One&Only's holdings to a total of eight resorts across Rwanda, Australia, South Africa, Dubai, Mauritius, Mexico and the Maldives. In addition to Rwanda, the brand has plans to expand in Dubai and Mexico, as well as open resorts in Montenegro, Greece and Malaysia.

One&Only is part of the Kerzner International Holdings portfolio.
