Space Rangers, get ready to man your laser cannons once again: an upgraded Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin will reopen at the Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom on April 8.
Guests are invited to once again save the galaxy from Emperor Zurg, this time with help from a new support bot, Buddy, who will walk them through target practice pre-launch. The attraction has been closed for updates since last summer.
When the attraction reopens, it will feature new handheld blasters with an always-on laser, helping guests see what they're shooting on the interactive ride. It will also feature enhanced lighting, sound and vibration effects.
The attraction's reopening precedes the beginning of Disney's Cool Kids' Summer promotion, which runs from May 26 through Sept. 8.
Cool Kids' Summer will see the opening of several new activities, all debuting on May 26.
Bluey's Wild World at Conservation Station will open at Disney's Animal Kingdom, bringing the beloved Blue Heeler to Disney's parks for the first time.
The attraction will feature Bluey and her sister, Bingo. Guests will have the chance to play games that come right from episodes of the hit television show, take a photo with Bluey and Bingo, and learn about animals native to Australia, where Bluey and her family live.
"Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!" and "The Walt Disney Studios" courtyard at Disney's Hollywood Studios will open on May 26, as well.
The new show, inspired by the series "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+," will feature an interactive party with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and Pluto.
The outdoor corridor will be ready to explore on the 26th, and a new space, Magic of Disney Animation, will open later this summer.
Soarin' Across America will debut May 26 at Epcot, bringing new video to the hang glider-style attraction. Riders will soar around the United States in honor of the country's 250th anniversary. Previous iterations of Soarin' have featured California and the entire world.
Cool Kids' Summer will feature several other limited-time activities and experiences. For instance, Jessie's Roundup: A Rip-Roarin' Review, featuring popular characters from the Toy Story franchise, will take over the Diamond Horseshoe in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland.
GoofyCore, a party with music and dancing, will be held at CommuniCore Hall in Epcot.
Dance parties will be held on select nights at Disney Springs' Marketplace, featuring music from "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland" and "Camp Rock 3," original movies debuting on Disney+ this summer.
Extra character appearances and events have also been planned at Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort -- Riverside.
Several other openings are scheduled this summer, including a new mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu starting May 22, the early May reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the revamped Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets.
