Michigan is losing its only Ritz-Carlton hotel.

The Ritz-Carlton Dearborn has been sold by Host Marriott to an unnamed investment group that will turn management over to Greenwood Hospitality.

Although the hotel will remain open, as of June 2 it will no longer be a Ritz-Carlton, said Vivian Deuschl, a Ritz-Carlton spokeswoman.

Thomas Conran, a Greenwood principal, told the Detroit Free Press a decision on a new brand will be made within a month.
