Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has opened its second China hotel with a resort in Sanya on Hainan Island.
The 246-room hotel sits on 40 acres overlooking Haitang Bay and the South China Sea. Boasting 45 suites with their own private-balcony plunge pools, the hotel has rooms that range in size from about 750 square feet to about 7,500 square feet.
The resort, which is located adjacent to the Sanya Forum convention center, also has five restaurants and lounges, a 13th-floor pool bar and about 37,000 square feet of meetings space.
The property is Rosewood's second in China, following the 2014 opening of Rosewood Beijing. Rosewood is slated to open hotels in both Guangzhou and Hong Kong next year.
