Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has assumed management of Le
Guanahani in St. Barts, which will reopen in spring 2021 as Rosewood Le
Guanahani St. Barth following a renovation.
The hotel has been closed since September 2017, when Hurricane Irma extensively damaged the property.
The property will have 66 guestrooms, suites and villas, and
many accommodations will have private pools. There will be a new beachfront
dining concept, a new ocean-facing pool and a kids club, event spaces and
spa.
The reservation books will open in October.
The St. Barth hotel will be Rosewood’s fourth in the
Caribbean. The company also operates the Rosewood Baha Mar in the Bahamas,
Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda and Rosewood Bermuda. The Rosewood Half
Moon Bay in Antigua is scheduled to open in 2023.
Martin van Wagenberg will continue as managing director, a
post he has held for the past six years.
