Soho House, a London-based group of private clubs, restaurants and hotels, will open a 40-room hotel in Chicago in August.
Soho House Chicago, located in the city’s West Loop district, will be the company’s fifth North American location.
There are Soho House properties in New York, Miami Beach, Toronto and West Hollywood, Calif., but only the New York and Miami properties have hotel rooms.
The Chicago property, rebuilt out of a 107-year-old warehouse, will include two restaurants, a bar, a spa and a screening room.
Soho House started in 1995 as a private club for people in film and media. Its other properties with hotel rooms are located in Berlin, London and Somerset, U.K.
