Malaysia’s first hotel under
Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ St. Regis luxury brand opened on the country’s
Langkawi archipalego.
The St. Regis Langkawi has 89 rooms,
including 85 suites and four overwater villas. The property, which is located
adjacent to a beach on the Andaman Sea, includes six restaurants and bars as
well as a “Mansion House” with European and Middle Eastern architectural
influences.
The hotel also has an outdoor
Moorish-inspired wedding pavilion and an 8,600-square-foot Iridium Spa.
The St. Regis Langkawi was developed
by a public-private partnership between the Rajawali Group and Malaysia’s
Ministry of Finance.
