Starwood Hotels & Resorts will debut the W brand in Costa Rica with the W Costa Rica-Reserve Conchal, slated to open in the Pacific coast province of Guanacaste in 2019.

The 151-room property will be the fourth W in Latin America, following the opening last year of the W Bogota in Colombia and the planned opening of the W Panama in Panama City in 2017. The W Santiago in Chile's capital city has been open since 2009.

"We continue to see interest from developers to bring new high-end offerings to this part of the world," said Victor Vazquez, Starwood's vice president of development and acquisitions, Latin America.

The beachfront property will feature a signature restaurant, a destination bar, the brand's trademark W Living Room for cocktails and weekly happenings, an Away spa and a Wet deck with an infinity pool.

This article has been updated to reflect that the Costa Rica property will be W's fourth Latin America property. In addition to a planned hotel in Panama, the brand also has existing properties in Chile and Colombia. Incorrect information appeared in an earlier version.
