Staybridge Suites, an InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) extended-stay brand, has made its debut outside of the Americas with the opening of a hotel in Liverpool, England.
The brand will follow that debut with its first hotel in Africa, as the first phase of the Staybridge Suites Cairo CityStars will open on June 21. IHG has two other hotels in the CityStars complex: an InterContinental and a Holiday Inn.
Meanwhile, IHG has inked deals to brand Staybridge hotels in Russia. IHG has reached a franchise agreement for a Staybridge hotel in St. Petersburg due to open next spring, and it has signed a management contract for a property in Nizhny Novgorod.
The Staybridge in Nizhny, Russia’s fourth-largest city, will be adjacent to a Crowne Plaza hotel.
