Taj Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Vivanta brand by moving 16 existing hotels in India under the new flag.

By moving 16 existing Taj hotels under the Vivanta brand, Taj says the brand will have an inventory of nearly 2,500 rooms.
The goal is to grow the brand to more than 30 hotels with more than 5,000 rooms over the next two years.
Among the properties being moved under the the Vivanta name are the President in Mumbai and Taj in Connemara. Resorts moving under the brand include two properties in Goa.
