Taj creates Gateway Hotel brand

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has launched a new brand in India, Gateway Hotel.

Taj said Gateway will “cater to the emerging set of contemporary travelers.” Gateway hotels will be divided into eight “zones”: enter, stay, hangout, meet, work, workout, unwind and explore.

Core initiatives include a 24/7 approach to all key hotel services; the availability of active foods and super foods for health-conscious guests; yoga mats in each room; and city tour packages.

Sixteen existing hotels in Taj’s India portfolio are migrating to the Gateway brand, and agreements for 10 new hotels have been reached. New Gateway hotels will be constructed in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Jullunder, Mysore, Navi Mumbai, Rajpur and Gondia.
