Virtuoso has dropped Trump Hotels from its preferred partner network, with Trump-branded properties no longer appearing on Virtuoso's website as of earlier this month.
In a statement, Misty Belles, Virtuoso's managing director of global public relations, confirmed that Trump Hotels are no longer part of Virtuoso's network, effective March 8. She declined to specify the reason for the split.
"We consider many variables when reviewing both existing and new network participation," Belles said. "Out of respect for all involved parties, and as a general policy, we do not share comments regarding our nonrenewal and exit decisions."
The change reportedly impacts six Trump properties that were previously part of Virtuoso's preferred partner network, including the Trump International Hotel in Washington.
In a 2016 release, Virtuoso touted numerous preferred partner benefits available to Trump International Hotel Washington D.C. guests who book with a Virtuoso advisor, including a room upgrade upon arrival, daily breakfast for two, a $100 spa credit and more.
Trump Hotels' other Trump-branded properties include the Trump International Hotels in Las Vegas and Honolulu, the Trump National Doral resort in Miami and the Trump International Hotel and Towers in Chicago and New York. The company's portfolio also includes the Albemarle Estate at Trump. Winery in Charlottesville, Va., the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg in Ireland and Trump Turnberry resort and Trump MacLeod House & Lodge in Scotland.
Trump Hotels is the hospitality arm of former president Donald Trump's Trump Organization real estate group, which is currently helmed by Trump's sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
The company is currently under investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, which is probing into whether the Trump Organization committed tax-related fraud or other financial crimes.
